A. DIRECTING/TURNING DIRE TIMES TO OUR BENEFIT:

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]As you all know, due to the Corona Pandemic that lingered now for a little more than a year, many of us have experienced and are still experiencing to this date; hardship & dire times, in our relentless attempts to secure ours & our families’ financial stability.

It is for this reason that our masjid will initiate & put to the test a new project, aiming to help to alleviate these burdens by enabling a few of our community members, who are willing to get approved by the mosque’s BOT members, to display &/or to sell their self-made &/or handcrafted products prior & post the weekly two Juma’a prayers.

Due to the limited space, resources & volunteering assistance at the mosque, the test or experience will be limited only to a small number of candidates of the community, i.e. between 3 to 10 candidates at the most. These candidates will be assessed & selected by the BOT members to be the most eligible candidates to participate in this experience.

If, with God’s Will, this experience succeeds, maybe later the number of candidates may be increased based on the mosque’s capacity & abilities.

As a starter, we will initiate this project in our mosque/masjid first. Then if this test or experience proves to be doable, fruitful & successful, we will seek to involve other neighboring mosques & possibly neighboring members of the Interfaith communities, in an attempt to expand these activities in such a way that would better assist & benefit our communities’ members and create a friendly activity exchange with our Interfaith counterparts.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”42px”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1621739140236{background-color: #f9f9f9 !important;}”][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”42px”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1621736963609{margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”]

B. WHAT PRODUCTS ARE ALLOWED TO BE DISPLAYED & SOLD?

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Any type of products that any of us can do &/or create &/or craft at home. The main products that will be allowed as a starter would be the following:[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1621737033644{margin-top: 20px !important;}”]1- HALAL FOODSTUFF: Any type of “Halal” food, on condition that it is all made of fresh, clean & uncontaminated ingredients. The two acceptable forms of foodstuffs are:

a. Take-away ready cooked “Halal” food. This should be properly packed & labeled with production & expiry dates in addition to handling & storage instructions.

b. Semi-processed &/or frozen &/or canned “Halal” food. This too should be properly packed & labeled with production & expiry dates in addition to storage & handling instructions.

b. Sculpture, such as carvings, ceramics, figurines, maquettes, molds, relief sculpture whether with clay, wood, stone &/or any other elements/materials.
c. Stained glass designs
d. Patterns for sewing, knitting (tricot), crochet, Macrame &/or needlework i.e. Serma, Sequin threading …etc.
e. Artwork applied to clothing or to other useful articles i.e. hand-printing on T-Shirts or scarfs, bead-work, clay, silkscreen printing …etc.
f. Leathercrafting
g. Weaving designs, lace designs, tapestries
h. Jewelry designs
i. Artificial flowers and plants arrangements
j. Dried & pressed flower designs & framing
k. Enamel works on wood, ceramic & copper …etc.
l. Collages
m. Photographs, photomontages
n. Greeting cards, postcards, stationery

C. WHAT ARE THE REQUIRED STEPS TO GET APPROVED TO SELL & DISPLAY AT THE MOSQUE?

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]In case you were interested to participate in this project by displaying &/or selling your product at the mosque, then, kindly follow the steps stipulated hereunder:[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1621738158431{margin-top: 20px !important;}”]1) Get your proposed project reviewed & evaluated by the BOT of the mosque:
To enable the Board of Trustees (BOT) members of the mosque review, assess & evaluate your proposal and finally provide you with their decision on your eligibility to participate by email; kindly do the following:
a)Click below on the button link and download the 2-pages form called “Darulislam Evaluation Form”.
b) Carefully read the form.
c) Using a BLUE ink pen fill the form and finally sign & date both pages.
d) Make a photocopy of your original 2-pages form.
e) On Friday June 11th, 2021 between 13:00 hours to 15:15 hours kindly proceed to the mosque to present the original & the photocopy of your Evaluation Form to a Mr. Tarek El-Dardiri [one of the BOT members in charge of this project – Cell phone # (925) 788-4705]. The BOT member will take & keep the original form & he will sign receipt of its photocopy then return it to you for your records.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1621737988063{margin-top: 20px !important;}”]2) Once the BOT notifies you that your project has been approved, what next?
Once the BOT reviews & approves your project/product, they will immediately notify you by email accordingly. Then, you will be requested to take the following actions:

a) Click on the button link below and download the 3-pages form called “Darulislam Statements Form”.
This includes and stipulates the following 4 Statements:

1. A statement committing yourselves “at all times” to abide by the mosque’s directives, decisions, guidelines & instructions to include the interruption &/or suspension &/or cancellation of the project suggested hereby in order to restore the integrity &/or order &/or smooth & safe operationality of the mosque at any given time & date.
2. A statement absolving the mosque from any direct &/or indirect moral &/or legal &/or social responsibilities &/or liabilities related to any inadequacies &/or defects of your displayed &/or sold product(s).
3. A statement committing yourselves to take full responsibility & care for the cleanliness & welfare of the mosque and by committing yourself to cleaning all areas you occupied &/or supplies used during the display &/or selling of your product(s).
4. A statement committing yourselves to display &/or sell adequate products free from any spoils, deterioration &/or defects & committing yourselves to take full responsibility & care for the cleanliness & welfare of the products you display or sell.

b) Carefully read the form.
c) Using a BLUE ink pen fill the form and finally sign & date all 3-pages Statements form.
d) Make a photocopy of your original 3-pages form.

We will also need volunteers who are experienced & somehow tech-savvy with “Startups” to help us assist these experimenting candidates to launch their small business online.
