February 4th, 2012. We will meet 10 am Sharp at WCIC

The Sunday School at the WCIC would like to  notify that the field trip to the Islamic Center will take place on Saturday February 4th and NOT Sunday February 5th. We will meet at the WCIC at 10:00 sharp.

Dear Darulislam Community Members,

Alsalam Alaikum,

We would like to extend our warm congratulations to all community members for the new Hijra Year and pray to Allah (s.w.t.) for many happy and blessed returns.

It has been almost six months since moving to our new facilities at 2449 Buena Vista Ave in Walnut Creek. The inputs we have been receiving from many of you make us feel that we have been truly blessed to acquire such a property for Darulislam Masjid.  The property prime location and its ideal overall layout have, wa Alhamd Lellah, exceeded all our expectations and have allowed us to smoothly expand  the offering of  a  large portfolio of services and programs for all ages in our community.

A Partial Listing of Projects and Programs: 2011

Partial Projects

A.  Facilities Improvement Projects:

  • Most of the facilities have been painted,
  • All facilities, including the main prayer area have received new carpets and/or hardwood flooring,
  • The installation of a new canopy over the court yard is almost completed,
  • Bathrooms have been remodeled and their wudu capacity has been expanded,
  • A complete locking system has been installed, covering all the buildings. The system makes the different facilities accessible as needed,
  • The landscaping of the site is gradually being improved, and
  • A number of small projects has also been completed.
